The Shoalhaven community will benefit from a $430,000 funding boost from the NSW Government to upgrade facilities at Shoalhaven Hospital, Milton Ulladulla Hospital, Nowra Community Health Centre and Nowra Community Dental Clinic.

The NSW Government is investing a total of almost $12 million in 61 projects as part of the Regional Health Minor Works Program.

The projects include:

• Shoalhaven Hospital – $240,000 for the installation of an internal Distributed Antenna System (DAS) throughout the existing hospital facility, to enable connection to the DAS base being delivered as part of the Shoalhaven Hospital Redevelopment. This will provide improved mobile telephone coverage across the entire hospital campus, increasing connectivity for staff, patients and visitors as well as enhancing virtual models of care.
• Milton Ulladulla Hospital – $125,000 for the installation of an internal DAS to improve mobile telephone coverage within the facility and enable connectivity for staff, patients and visitors. The enhanced mobile coverage will also allow more efficient operation of equipment, such as lifts, and improve virtual care and communication between primary, community and hospital care.
• Nowra Community Health Centre and Nowra Community Dental Clinic - $65,000 to upgrade heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. These upgrades will ensure both community facilities have ongoing access to sustainable and efficient air conditioning, providing comfortable and safe environments for patients and staff.
