As part of the NSW Health National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Monitoring and Evaluation Operational Framework, Government Relations branch commissioned the Interim Evaluation of the Impacts of the NDIS on the NSW Health System which identified early evidence of benefits, challenges and issues for NSW Health resulting from the transition to the NDIS.
The NSW Ministry of Health engaged KPMG in late 2017 to conduct evidence based qualitative and quantitative assessment of the impact of the NDIS on the NSW Health system to date.
The report was completed in June 2018 and presented to the Senior Executive Forum and released to the Chief Executives of local health districts and speciality health networks in November 2018.
