Strategic Reform and Planning leads the development and evaluation of plans for value based healthcare, health service delivery and management of the Government’s health capital investment plans and programs.
Ongoing work drives whole-of-system planning and planning tools, review of the State Health Plan and Rural Health Plan and the development of the Future Health Strategy, and provides strategic leadership in the move to value based healthcare through the Leading Better Value Care Program and Commissioning for Better Value.
Evaluating and introducing new technologies and providing expert advice regarding specialty services planning and economic analysis are also important and ongoing functions of the branch.
