As part of the Sustainability and System Performance Division, the System Management Branch (SMB) is responsible for the NSW Health Performance Framework and monitoring performance against Service Agreements with Local Health Districts/ Speciality Health Networks (LHDs/SHNs) and Service Contracts with pillar organisations. SMB has direct accountability for the implementation of performance goals and strategies and improving the delivery of high quality health services through coordinating and promoting state-wide initiatives.
SMB works closely with LHDs/SHNs to form strong business relationships and develop a deep understanding of performance and factors affecting performance, in the operation of these organisations.
