System Financial Performance plays a lead role in establishing and maintaining the frameworks and processes for strategic financial management within NSW Health.

The branch:

  • provides expert financial management analysis and advice, reporting, budgeting and cash management services to comply with NSW Health, NSW Treasury, statutory requirements and to drive the financial performance of the NSW Health system
  • leads the annual budget and three year Forward Estimates, allocations and priorities for negotiation with NSW Treasury and allocations to the system, and all aspects of cash management and forecasting for NSW Health
  • partners with all LHDs and pillars in the health system to deliver sustainable financial outcomes, leading system wide improvement initiatives and driving improved business partnering with other Ministry of Health branches to optimise performance outcomes.
